Foundations on which our education rests.
Union family - school
Family and school work together in educating students: teacher interviews - family, regular meetings. It recognizes parents as the primary educators of their children.
An update of the teachers at the institution keeps the routine away and gives it a permanent innovation.
Excellence as way of living
The excellence in being and acting is a consequence of the harmonious development of the personality and a personal need to improve all components of the human being: physical, cognitive, psychological, social, aesthetic and ethical.
The most important thing in school is each student. Each has a course director who guides them through their personal growth.
High academic rigor
It aims to promote quality staff and, through a challenging and rigorous academic program, get the students to develop their skills.
Without loss of national identity, the student must be open to the world and therefore, must master at least a foreign language.
Training for life
The world of work and family, the environment, social issues, the current national and international climate, are part of the curriculum. Education cannot be locked in a classroom. Students should be open to the world to transform it.
A special importance of education in the faith, according to the teaching of the Catholic Church, take the student to live the Christian life with authenticity.
The commitment to educational quality of our educational project has enabled us to position ourselves as one of the best institutions in the municipality and the department in recent years. In 2011, our institution positioned itself at No. 9 among the schools that make up the calendar as tested Saber 11.
"Be better, always going forward," was the motto that has driven Rosaristas generations since the founding of the school (60 years ago). To "be better" you must be in a constant search for excellence and quality, but this is not achieved without requirement, perseverance, commitment, discipline, perseverance, responsibility and many other virtues which are inculcated to students to "always be forward "as people and as professionals, making their mark and leaving everything in the name of his high school.
Education is currently conceived for human development based on individualization and socialization processes. It is accepted that these two methods are equally valid, occur simultaneously and from the merger of the two, identity and a personal world are constructed. This concept differs from the one in which education has traditionally individuality and socialized education.
García Hoz (1988) states that collective education and individual education are partial and incomplete forms of education. Individual education therefore isolates the subject from his peers, prevents social relationships of equality, to enrich him through teamwork, and makes it dependent, thereby reducing overall development potential. Education is then understood as a collective action educator which encourages and directs the formation of a group of students.
From this view, Personalized Education, leverages the potential of each of these types of education and aims to strengthen the person inside to make it more socially effective. Here is the Individualized Education relies on the consideration of the human being as a person with potential to explore, change and transformation of the world. The essential features included in the concept of the person deriving the guidelines to provide a personalized education are: uniqueness - originality – creativity -autonomy - freedom - responsibility, openness - communication and transcendence.
The construction of the person must be the central process of education, seen from the development of the human being, the only way to achieve the satisfaction of human needs, the exercise of citizenship and management of codes of modernity. From this perspective, personalized education emerges as a form of education that is based on the consideration of the human being as active, with personal opportunities to explore, change and able to transform the world around him.
Personalized education allows the subject to be self-conscious from the awareness of his potential and opportunities to recognize his value as living and acting person, and dynamism arises from the principle of personal growth implicit in the concept of person and the fact that every human being is in constant search of perfection as being in constant transformation, capable of internally strengthened and become more effective in society.
The deeper meaning of education is personalized in turn learning into an element of personal training through the acceptance of responsibility by the school as being original and creative, able to govern himself, build relationships and find meaning in life .
Features Custom Education
• Uniqueness - Creativity:
"The aim of education is to make the subject aware of his own limitations, and quantitatively considered among others." Here begins his motivation to be, to grow, to project as it is, without masks or appearances, to make his mark as world citizen with social responsibility.
• Autonomy - freedom:
The term autonomy is the "ability to govern itself, the ability to be self-law, possession and effective use of freedom." The free expression refers to "teach or educate elect to choose well."
• Open - Communication:
Openness is the personal disposition that allows humans to open up to themselves and the others in a process of communication through language. The person constructs his story in the encounter with the other, allowing the other to be himself in a relationship of freedom and acceptance.
The teacher's role
The teacher is an important element in the process, but not the most important. This will be the role of facilitator and generator of learning spaces and controller of the development process, not a minor issue, since they must meet each student in his individuality, his work rate and expectations, which makes the task of the educator always to help children and young people to be the best of themselves.
According to the above, it becomes essential to identify the contributions of the theory posed by Victor Garcia Hoz:
• Delivery to society a more humane educational system, whose ideology is in line with our needs as an individual and society.
• It helps to generate awareness that each person is unique and different, that is, thinks, acts, learns and needs different things.
• Education is not limited to cognitive culture, recognizes the value of other human dimensions, such as affective, psychomotor, evaluative, sexual, among others.
• Makes learning an element of personal training through the acceptance of responsibility by the school as being original and creative, able to govern themselves, build relationships and find meaning in life. There are instances of seeking meaning in life, it helps considerably to avoid living in a depressed society, lost in the shadows, thinking themselves unable, thinking the worst of the worst.
• The original being allowed to live to grow with others and for others, validating the world and grow its presence in the world. By fostering communication or expression of thoughts and feelings supports trust and empathy. It leads to the overcoming of punishment, fear, anguish and desire to please others, enabling the development of real beings.
• A great addition note is that personalized education invites form a more cohesive society, where family, friends, teacher, and others may participate in the development of the student, forming a reciprocal relationship. It highlights what the learner can do, for it highlights what is pleasing.
